About Me

About Me

Hi, I’m Dawn – the heart behind Dawn’s Pet Paradise in Hensall.

Caring for others has always been a part of who I am. Before starting my pet care business, I worked as a Deputy Manager in a care home, where I developed a strong sense of responsibility, compassion, and attention to detail. While I loved my role, I made the decision to follow my true passion – working with animals – and turn my lifelong dream into a reality.

Over the years, I’ve gained extensive hands-on experience with a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, parrots, horses, pigs, ducks, and chickens. I had my own horse at a livery yard for 15 years and regularly helped out with yard duties, giving me confidence in equine care. I’ve also volunteered at donkey sanctuaries, gaining valuable experience with animals of all shapes and sizes.
To give my clients peace of mind, I hold a Level 3 Award in Pet First Aid and CPR, and I’m fully trained in administering medication, including eye drops, oral treatments, and insulin injections.

At Dawn’s Pet Paradise, I offer a range of personalised services including dog walking, animal boarding, drop-in visits, and pet chaperoning for weddings or vet appointments. Every pet in my care is treated like family, with love, patience, and attention tailored to their unique needs.

This isn’t just a business to me—it’s a dream come true.
